Volkswagen Beetle and the Upcoming Model

Volkswagen Beetle Los Angeles is still quite popular and it has a long tailed history behind its existence. It all started when the retro looking car was introduced by the German auto maker VW in 1938. In the 50’s it became a huge hit in the U.S. as it was comfortable and powerful, yet still very compact. Soon after, it became the longest running and most produced car of a single design.

The car’s original name is Kafer, which is the German word for beetle. The beetle became its popular and well known name after its original meaning in German. In the 1967, the name Beetle became official and was marketed to both the U.S. that way. However, as the model didn’t update itself, it was long gone from most of the automotive market by the 1990’s. However, through much talk and design contemplations, the New Beetle was built and appeared in mid 1998. The design was a stylish variation of the Golf and its inspiration was clearly from the original Beetle. Soon after, new changes were made and released in 2000 and in 2001 there became more highlights and options available for the New Beetle. The Turbo S. was then released as the sportiest New beetle. The next big move that VW made to the Beetle was making it into a convertible, releasing the Beetle Cabriolet in 2004. Since then the car was a hit and Volkswagen Beetle Los Angeles dealerships have seen the wave come.

When Volkswagen Beetle Los Angeles dealership, McKenna, heard that the new Volkswagen beetle is going to be released in 2010 as the 2010 model or 2011 model, we were extremely excited to share the news. Though the model hasn’t changed since the release in 2000 there has been a lot of talk about the new model that will be released in the following year. So what should we expect, the word is that the Beetle is going to lose some of its cuteness and look a bit more grown up to appeal more to the general public than to those who are already VW fans. The buzz is that a convertible model will follow after the coupe version of the car and it may also be possible that there may be a four door model as well. The model is yet to be released but what’s for sure is that all of Volkswagen Beetle Los Angeles fans are looking forward to what is to come!
